At present, about 200 students from Russia, China, Afghanistan, India, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan are studying at our institute. 98 of them are students from Pakistan. Today at our institute, the celebration of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan “Pakistan Day”, which has been celebrated as a national holiday since March 23, 1956, has been celebrated with great solemnity.
The event was attended by the deputy of the khakim of the region Utkirbek Shukurov and a number of Representatives of the Embassy of Pakistan. The rector of our institute M. Madazimov warmly congratulated all the Pakistanis on the occasion. On the other hand, the deputy khakim of the region Utkirbek Shukurov read the congratulatory message from Shukhratbek Abdurahmonov. It was emphasized that the nation-wide harmony and solidarity in our country are the embodiment of our ancient traditions, and the two states are the strong ties of the Commonwealth.
The representative of the embassy of Pakistan, Hurram Ali, noted that the people of Uzbekistan, especially the andijanites, are dedicated to the hospitality and harmony, exchange of experience in the field of education of the two countries, Andijan State Institute is dedicated to the fact and pride of all the nationalities as well as the Pakistanis. The gifts presented on the occasion of the holiday were pleasing to the fans.
The students sang the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Feelings of homeland were stirring in the hearts. The festive part of the event – songs and melodies sounded. The song performed by singer Umidjon Boborahimov in Pakistani language was welcomed by our foreign students. Indian songs and dances, Andijan polka, national dance performed by foreign students became an example of our customs and harmony of art. The holiday made a great impression on everyone.
