Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PD-4666 dated April 7, 2020 “On measures for training personnel in the health sector and introduction of a completely new system of continuous professional development”, 47 public health colleges named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino were established in the republic.
4 medical colleges in Andijan region were also renamed into “Public Health Colleges named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino”. These are Andijan, Pakhtaabad, Bostan and Kurgantepa medical colleges.
Based on the instruction of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Andijan, Pakhtaabad, Bostan and Kurgantepa Public Health Colleges named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino were attached to Andijan State Medical Institute.
The rector of the institute M.M.Madazimov visited the Public Health Colleges and met with heads of the institutions. They discussed issues on implementation of Resolution PD-4666 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the tasks of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the conversation, they talked about the work done, the plans and activities of each Public Health College, the selection and admission of students for the 2020-2021 academic year, existing problems and their solutions.
On June 13, 2020, the rector of the institute M.M. Madazimov, vice-rector for academic affairs A.Arzikulov, head of the educational-methodical department K. Yusupov, dean of the faculty of Therapy B. Mamatov and a working group visited Pakhtaabad Public Health College named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, dean of Pediatric Faculty A. Gofurov visited Kurgantepa College of Public Health, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry D. Tulanov – Bostan College of Public Health named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino.
During the visit, they got acquainted with the work done, the preparations for the new 2020-2021 academic year, as well as with the working and study conditions created for teachers and students.
The working group, headed by the rector of the institute M.M.Madazimov, examined the innovation center, the department of international relations, the IRC, gyms, conference hall and the dining room of Andijan College of Public Health.
The rector of the institute held a conversation with the director of Andijan Public Health College M. Buvabekov and heads of departments, observing the rules of quarantine.
In the conversation, it was said that the institute will assist teachers, students in scientific, educational, methodological, spiritual and educational work, in using the CIR services, a modular platform, help to conduct joint researches, prepare monographs, textbooks and study guides together with university teachers . College students can be attracted and take part in the work of circles on subjects created by teachers of the institute, participate in the Olympiads, and teachers of the college can defend doctoral dissertations at the institute’s specialized council in the field of “Preventive Medicine”.
Currently, the institute has established systematic work according to the plan of cooperation with Andijan, Pakhtaabad, Bostan and Kurganepa Public Health Colleges named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino.
