The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Sh.Mirziyoev in his address to the Oliy Majlis said: “One of our most important tasks is to further strengthen the defense capability of our state, increase our military power and capabilities.”
This year, we celebrate the Day of Motherland Defenders nationwide in accordance with the decree «On preparing and celebrating the Day of Defenders of the Motherland» of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces . The department of military training and civil protection of Andijan State Medical Institute within the framework of «Day of the department» hosted a meeting on the theme » Brave men guard the Motherland».
The meeting was attended by officers of the department of military training and civil defense A. A. Soliev, B. Razzakov, K. Sharipov and other employees. The event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs of the Faculty of Therapy U. Karimov, who noted that during the years of independence the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan have been developing rapidly.
Afterwards, Lieutenant Colonel A.A.Soliev, head of the Educatinal Department at the Department of Military Training and Civil Defense, said that it is more important now than ever to stay vigilant and to keep our home, the peace and stability in our Motherland.
Speaking at the event, Lieutenant Colonel B. Razzakov informed about the adoption of important legislative acts in the area on the basis of deep analysis of socio-political situation in the region, modern requirements and threats to national security. During the event a video «My Army» was shown. The video shows the wide-ranging reforms in the Armed Forces, the radical renewal of the morale and the spiritual atmosphere in the army, and the radical changing of our society’s attitude towards the army and the military.
At the meeting titled» Brave men guard the Motherland «, the participants got acquainted with the potential of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, measures taken to ensure the security and stability of the country, inviolability of its borders and they once again felt that it is our sacred duty to defend the Motherland.
